We got our first electric bill since I made my $35,000 solar bet with the bank and the balance is down to $41.55. Our previous month the bill was $292.71 with previous highs of over $400. Since we didn’t install it in the beginning of the month the charges are for a few days that we used the electric company’s power. Next month’s bill should be $19.00 (the minimum charged by the electric company).
I would also like to thank both Stacking Benjamins and Wealth Turtle for including my post Forget The Latte Factor What Things Really Cost You. Now on to the good reads of the the week:
To kick it off we have Paula Pant who wrote about the 4 types of retirement. She travels the world, has like 6,000 properties (actually it’s 6 but she’s still young give her some time). To build wealth you need the right mindset and Paula has it.
Free Money Finance wrote on How To Measure and Track Your Wealth. I completely agree that Net Worth is an important benchmark to track your finances. It’s not how much you make but how much you keep and invest.
Grayson at Debt Roundup has a great financial interactive map on his site, check it out. See how your state stacks up in regards to its financial well being.
Matt Becker at Mom and Dad Money wrote on 5 questions you need to ask before making any investment decisions. Matt’s writing is always in depth and detailed, since this blog is about growing our wealth you should check it out.
My favorite hustler Alexa Mason is taking the big leap towards work independence. Over the past few months she’s put a lot of work into building her portfolio and it’s paying off. I like her style as she does not have a woe be me attitude and doing what it takes to get ahead.
FI Pilgrim wrote about creating your own American dream. You need to have the right mndset and not be negative, FI is downsizing his home and marching towards financial independence.
Have a great weekend everyone.
